U.S. citizens are required to secure a visa to travel to Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka issues visas electronically and the visa is called an “Electronic Travel Authority” – “ETA”. The ETA is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, and allows you to travel to Sri Lanka for short-term tourism and short-term business for a stay up to 30 days. The tourist ETA is good for double entries and the business ETA is good for multiple entries.
The visa is recorded electronically and there is no record of it in your passport or on any physical document. The Sri Lankan Department of Immigration will be able to locate your ETA in its records via your passport information.
YOU MUST TAKE YOUR VALID PASSPORT WITH YOU FOR TRAVEL TO SRI LANKA. |
