A 15 day visa can be obtained upon arrival at Vientiane Airport (Not at border crossings)

  • Copy of Ticket/Flight Itinerary

    Tourist visa obtained through tour company in conjunction with Laotian tour operator. The Embassy can supply a list of eligible Tour companies upon request.

Requirements:

  • Letter from U.S. Company
  • Copy of Ticket/Flight Itinerary
  • Requires a letter of invitation authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Laos. The letter should be sent directly from Laos to the embassy in Washington DC. A copy of the invite should accompany the visa application, if there is no copy of the invite included with the application it may cause delays in the processing time.
